Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Yuşa Sarısoy, the developer of Bito. By downloading or using Bito you accept them, together with Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What Bito does

Bito helps you log what you eat and gives you a daily calorie and protein target that follows your training week. Targets are calculated from published formulas, the information you enter and data from Apple Health and the apps you connect. Food values come from the bundled USDA FoodData Central data, from Open Food Facts, which is maintained by its community, and from what you or the on-device model enter.

All of these are estimates. Photo and sentence recognition can be wrong, and you should check an entry before saving it. We do not promise any particular result, such as a change in weight.

3. Health notice

Bito is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have a medical condition, take medication that affects your weight or appetite, or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before following any calorie target. Stop using a target that makes you feel unwell, and seek professional help.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Bito. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

5. Your data

What you log belongs to you. It stays on your device and in Apple Health, as described in the privacy policy. We do not hold a copy, so we cannot restore it if it is lost. You can export it as CSV at any time.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Bito or the services it relies on. In particular, do not use the token exchange service for anything other than signing in from the app, do not try to get around Bito Pro, and do not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

7. Bito Pro

Logging and tracking are free. Bito Pro is optional and is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it in the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
• What Pro includes is listed in the app. We may add features to Pro. If we remove a Pro feature while your subscription is running, we will say so in the release notes.

8. Other services

Bito works with Apple Health, Open Food Facts, Hevy, WHOOP, Oura and Polar. Their own terms apply to your use of them. Some require their own membership (for example, Hevy’s API needs Hevy Pro). We cannot guarantee that a third-party service stays available or keeps working with Bito; when one stops, Bito keeps working with Apple Health.

9. Availability

Some features depend on your device and iOS version: logging by sentence needs iOS 26 and logging by photo needs iOS 27, both with Apple Intelligence. We may change, improve or stop parts of the app over time.

10. Intellectual property

The Bito name, logo, design and code belong to the developer. The Sora and Inter typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License. Open Food Facts data is available under the Open Database License.

11. Disclaimer and liability

Bito is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under mandatory consumer protection law in your country.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes are subject to the courts of Türkiye, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rights of the country you live in.

13. Changes and contact

If these terms change, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Questions: yusasarisoy@icloud.com.
